Hogs’ Offense Dominates The Defense In First Scrimmage
Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson completed 68 percent of his passes, and the Hogs offense outplayed the defense in the first scrimmage of spring practice. The 144-play scrimmage saw the offensive starters go against the first team defense for a few series, before head coach Bobby Petrino switched things up, with first teamers vs. second teamers.

Anyway, now that 2011 is officially in the books, we can begin to take a way-too-early look at the SEC and what teams could possibly emerge next year as national championship contenders.

Hogs In High Cotton After Beating Kansas State
Arkansas had not won eleven games in a season since 1977, when they ended that year with an Orange Bowl victory over Oklahoma to finish 11-1. A 29-16 decision over Kansas State Friday night in the 76th Annual Cotton Bowl, earned the Hogs win number 11 for the first time in thirty-four years.

But the question isn’t whether the Tigers will score or not. They will. The real must see TV on Friday is the LSU secondary versus Tyler Wilson and his aerial assault team. It will be a war between the SEC’s best QB and the best secondary. The highlight will be the battle between Morris Claiborne and Jarius Wright. This clash will be just as epic as Patrick Peterson vs. Julio Jones as both are the best in the SEC at their positions.

Arkansas Rolls Over New Mexico
Amidst a sea of red, white, and blue clad fans, the Arkansas Razorbacks put up 52 points against a clueless New Mexico Lobos squad, who only managed a field goal for the game. Razorback fans enjoyed watching their team’s 52-3 victory, but it was also a night of remembrance and reflection for the more than 52,000 people at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

Do The Hogs Have The Right Stuff?
It’s no surprise that the college football world has its focus on the SEC. With five consecutive championships, the speculation has already started on whether or not the conference can get number six. Most of the attention seems to be focused on the Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers – for good reason. But there is another team to consider this year in the Wild West, and if their head coach has his way, they’ll be a factor for many years to come.

Bobby Petrino’s Offensive Magic: What Does It Mean For Tyler Wilson & The 2011 Hogs?
Bobby Petrino has all the right pieces in place to make a magical run in 2011 with this football team. He has always been able to produce a very impressive offensive show each and every year of his career with his quarterbacks. Things are getting very interesting in Fayetteville, and this team could go on a run much like Auburn in 2010.
