The common perception amongst Alabama fans heading into 2011 is that A.J. McCarron (or Phillip Sims) can be the next Greg McElroy and lead the Crimson Tide to another title in 2011. This viewpoint really has nothing to do with the talent of McCarron but more the talent of everyone else on the team. With a defense stacked full of NFL studs, McCarron hardly has to do anything! Right?! All he’s gotta do is pull a Greg McElroy circa 2009! Roll tide.

Stephen Garcia has always put up stats on the field. However, one thing that has to happen is Garcia has to limit his interceptions in order for South Carolina to be a legit player in the national spotlight.

Alabama is the favorite to win the SEC coming into 2011 by mostly everyone with a pulse; however, even though they are talented and have depth, there are three obstacles that Alabama will have to overcome in order to be able to hoist that SEC trophy in December.

There are question marks within the SEC about the quarterback position. With really only a couple proven starters returning this year, the position as a whole is starting to take shape on every team. Here is the current quarterback situation right now on every team within the SEC.
