Former Florida Gator running back Jeff Demps will be running the lead leg of the 4×100 relay in the Olympics on Friday for the US team. Selected late to join the team in London for an injured member of the team, Demps will get to see action in the preliminary 4×100.

The pistol formation helped spark Florida’s offense this past weekend against Vanderbilt, and I would not be surprised to see Florida keep running the football and passing off of play action from the pistol formation.

Rarely does a college football team get one true speed back on the team who can take it the distance on any given play, let alone two running backs of this caliber. Well, Florida just happens to have two of the fastest running backs in the country in Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps, and they are doing big things right now in their senior seasons.
