Claiborne, the Jim Thorpe award winner, doesn’t have much to prove as college football’s top-ranked cover guy with a 4.45 time in the 40-yard dash. Like his teammates, he’ll be interviewed by scouts and perform individual workouts inside the dome.

If you didn’t believe in Voodoo or Zombies before Monday night, witnessing the resurrection of the 2010 LSU offense surely changed your mind. 2010 was a season of offensive ineptitude that was buried by LSU’s magnificent 13-0 season in 2011. Apparently, it was a shallow grave as 2010’s offense reared its ugly head again in the BCS.

Last July, Les Miles was asked whether or not the 2011 Tigers were capable of making another trip to New Orleans in January. Miles told his audience that “The want for this team to qualify to travel down there in a bus and again play in the national championship game is the goal; it’s what it should be. It’s who we are. Let’s see if we can establish that legacy. When they play it in New Orleans, we’re coming.”

To stop the LSU running attack with their five-headed monster in running backs Spencer Ware, Michael Ford, Alfred Blue and Kenny Hilliard, along with quarterback Jordan Jefferson’s option attack, you have to be men against the run…not just boys. Can Georgia complete that task? We’ll have to wait and see:

If we learned anything from Jordan Jefferson’s extended playing time on Saturday, it is that he is still dealing with the same issues as last year. When executing plays designed to keep him in the pocket to pass, Jefferson is still having trouble avoiding the rush and making his reads.

What will it take for this game to live up to its unprecedented billing? A 31-28 nail-biter that includes a Tyrann Mathieu scoop-and-score and three Richardson touchdowns?
