Though former Texas A&M star QB Johnny Manziel said earlier this summer that he was looking to make an NFL comeback, the preseason has begun and he isn’t in camp for any of the 32 teams.

Therefore, if the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner wants to keep playing, he may have to explore other options.

One of those options could very well be the Canadian Football League, and one CFL writer knows just the team that should sign him.

According to TSN writer Dave Naylor, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats need to give the former Aggie a call:

“The Ticats are the CFL’s only winless team and have a developing crisis at quarterback, where starter Zach Collaros has gone from CFL star to the league’s lowest-rated passer so far this season,” Naylor writes.

“Barring a dramatic turnaround this season, Hamilton is going to need a way to get fans excited about 2018, perhaps sooner than later. Nothing would do that like the potential of a Manziel resurrection in black and gold.”

At only 24 years of age, Manziel is still young and we all know what he can do on a football field.

If he thinks the door is closed on his NFL career, he could do a lot worse than trying to help turn around a storied CFL franchise.
