It’s finally happened for Johnny Manziel — he’s a full-time starter in the NFL.

Football insider Jay Glazer reported Tuesday that the Heisman winner from Texas A&M will be handed the reins to Cleveland’s offense the rest of the season:

Manziel threw for a career-high 372 yards and a touchdown during Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh, completing 33-of-45 passes in what looked like a vintage Johnny Football performance for much of the second half.

Browns incumbent Josh McCown hasn’t shown enough consistency to warrant keeping his job, according to league sources. Cleveland coach Mike Pettine was going to use his team’s bye week to re-evaluate the position.

“Everything’s going to be on the table this week,” Pettine said Monday, according to ESPN. “As coaches, this gives us a chance to hit the reset button and just kind of (evaluate) what are our circumstances. So it’s too early for me to stand up here and speak on it.”

Manziel’s first start as ‘the man’ comes on Monday Night Football in Baltimore on Nov. 30.
