As Texas A&M gets ready for Monday’s Liberty Bowl against West Virginia, Kevin Sumlin took a few minutes to address a few of the issues around Aggies football. He commented on the timetable for the defensive coordinator search, the coaching changes up and down the staff and getting the team ready to kick off after a month off from football.

Other news to come out of Friday’s practice, which Sumlin described as what would be a Wednesday practice for his team, is that receiver Malcome Kennedy will not need surgery after the season. The senior has been dealing with shoulder issues for most of the season, causing him to miss two games and parts of others.
