What Kevin Sumlin said about Texas A&M's big win over Auburn
Texas A&M just keeps on winning.
Its latest win comes on the road at Auburn 29-16, and the Aggies’ win certainly heated up Gus Malzahn’s seat on The Plains. QB Trevor Knight threw for 247 yards and one touchdown, while Trayveon Williams rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown.
Here’s what Sumlin said after the Aggies’ big win:
Sumlin: We try to get better every week and look at games as a learning experience. We made enough plays to win but we have to get better.

Sumlin: We made some adjustments [vs. Auburn's run game]. Defensive staff did a nice job. 35 yards [allowed] in 3rd quarter.

Sumlin: The ball didn't really get over our heads. Auburn is good at getting guys free down field wide open. We eliminated explosive play.

Kevin Sumlin: "I wasn't happy with how we finished the game." Not thrilled with how the team closed in the last seven minutes.

Sumlin: Maybe 3-0 might be different because of who we've played [this year]. But we have a lot of football to play.
