As if Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray don’t have enough receivers to throw to in the next few seasons, Texas A&M added another to its 2016 recruiting class.

Quartney Davis, a big-play receiver from Houston, committed to the Aggies on Monday.

Davis gives the Aggies a pair of receiver commitments, as the team’s ’16 recruiting class also includes the 6-foot-5 Kentrick Rogers.

Listed at 6-foot-2.5 and 181 pounds, Davis also held offers from Arkansas, Cal, Michigan State and Kansas State, among others. His highlight video, physical profile and yards-per-catch average are reminiscent of LSU’s Travin Dural.

Davis and Dural are the same height, and based on his high school highlights, the Aggies commitment is adept at getting behind the defense with his speed, running a lot of go routes.

Davis marks the team’s 14th commitment during the current recruiting cycle. Texas A&M ranks fifth in the SEC and 10th in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The Aggies still need to pick up a couple of running backs and some cornerbacks in this class.
