Texas A&M lands commitment from one of the top prospects on its board
Anthony Hines III is staying in his home state.
The four-star inside linebacker out of Plano, Texas, tweeted Friday afternoon that he has committed to Texas A&M. The Aggies beat out Ohio State, Florida and others for Hines, who 247Sports’ composite ratings rank as the No. 2 player at his position in this year’s recruiting class.

Hines is the third linebacker to join Texas A&M’s 2017 recruiting class, helping bolster a position of need for Kevin Sumlin’s squad.
The 6-foot-2, 222-pounder is listed as the 11th-best player in talent-rich Texas and the No. 88 overall player in the country, per 247Sports’ composite ratings. You can watch his highlight reel below.
