Once he got the offer, it didn’t take long for Friendswood, Texas WR Caleb Chapman to pull the trigger.

The 3-star Clear Brook wideout was offered Friday, and committed on Saturday.

“I’ve been up there four or five times during the summer and school year,” he told GigEm 247. “It kind of all started with my recruiter, Clarence McKinney. He’s a lot like one of the coaches I’m close with at my school.

“Then, me going up there and getting to know the staff and getting to see the environment so often, it’s always felt right and felt like home.”

Chapman, who also had offers from Mississippi State, Missouri and TCU, shared his announcement on Twitter.

Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com calls Chapman, “one of the more talked-about players in Houston and a guy who garners tremendous respect from quarterbacks, fellow wide receivers and especially high-profile defensive backs.”

Chapman, who caught 64 passes for 1,049 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior, is commitment No. 14 and the second wide receiver in the Aggies’ 2018 class. He is rated the No. 79 wide receiver and No. 61 Texas recruit of 2018 on the 247Sports Composite.
