Three-star strong-side defensive end Ondario Robinson committed to Texas A&M during his homecoming game Friday night.

After months of delaying his official commitment, the Hutto, Texas native finally got the blessing from both of his parents to reveal his decision, according to GigEm247.

“My mom has been on board but I talked to my dad today and he was like, ‘I’m going to support you through everything you do and I see your heart is with Texas A&M, and I’ve seen you’ve done your research on the school, so I know you know what you’re talking about and I’m happy for you.’ He told me I could do it after the game.”

A&M has been the favorite to earn a commitment from Robinson for several months prior to his announcement Friday. The high school senior is looking forward to focusing on the rest of his final season after putting his decision behind behind him.

“I’m really excited to do it and let all the Aggie fans know it official,” he said. “I’m more excited we won on top of it. This whole night has been amazing. I’m really excited to get it out of the way so I can focus on the rest of the season.”

Robinson ranks as the No. 33 strong-side defensive end for the 2017 national recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A&M now has 20 total commitments and ranks No. 13 in the 247Sports Team Composite rankings.
