New Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight is no stranger to the Manning Passing Academy.

Knight is in Louisiana this weekend for his third stint as a counselor at the camp.

According to nola.com, Knight said the time he spends with Peyton and Eli Manning is a great educational experience:

“Really when you get to see the wisdom these guys put out and get to listen in on what they have to say, you learn a ton in just a few short days. Also getting to hang around with a bunch of college players from across the country, that’s a unique networking opportunity. Then hanging out with the kids and trying to teach them a thing or two, it’s a special weekend.”

Knight, a transfer from Oklahoma who threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns last season, will get back to work with the Aggies soon after the camp concludes.

He said he’s excited to take some of the lessons he learned at the Manning Passing Academy and apply them to his new team:

“I haven’t been with the guys for four years like I would have somewhere else, but a lot of good guys. A lot of incredibly talented receivers that I get to throw to. We’re heading in the right direction.

“From practice one to practice 15 of spring, it’s not even the same team. That says a lot about the coaching staff … I look forward to making another job come fall camp and into the season as well. Just continuing to get better each and every day.”

Texas A&M’s season is scheduled to begin on Sept. 3, when the UCLA Bruins come to College Station.
