The mood has shifted in College Station as the start of the Jimbo Fisher era has Texas A&M fans abuzz regarding the potential of the program under a new head coach. Last weekend’s spring game was a success as the new era was put on display and the 12th Man set a new standard for spring game attendance in College Station.

After being able to review the film, Fisher paid a visit to the Texas A&M video studio to break down his thoughts on last weekend’s game.

Among the topics discussed the video segment below is his hiring of strength and conditioning coach Jerry Schmidt:

“He’s done a great job since he got here,” Fisher said. “That’s one of the most important hires that you have and that’s why I went out and got him. He did a great job with our team beforehand.”

The Texas A&M coach also touched on QB the ongoing quarterback competition in College Station.

“You’ll know when you know. It may be where you have two and you find ways to use both guys,” he said. “I’m not going to say… you don’t always want to do that but you don’t want to always go against it. You have to let things play out. We had two guys in the spring that I thought were very productive. You saw in the (spring) game, were very productive.”
