Brady Hoke says Tennessee WR Jauan Jennings has been dismissed from the team
On Wednesday evening, injured Tennessee WR Jauan Jennings went on an Instagram rant, ripping the Vols’ coaching staff for not letting him play against Vanderbilt.
Shortly after that video aired, interim coach Brady Hoke announced that the star wide receiver had been dismissed from the team.
As you can see in the tweet below, Hoke confirmed to 3HL on 104.5 that the star receiver is no longer with the program after a discussion with AD John Currie:
Tennessee interim football Coach Brady Hoke tells us through consultation with Tennessee AD John Currie that TN WR Jauan Jennings has been dismissed from the program.

“We made the decision to dismiss Jauan from our program,” he said. “Representing Tennessee and the football program is really a privilege, and we’re going to move forward.”
Whether or not the new coaching staff lobbies for Jennings’ return remains to be seen, but perhaps the damage has been done with Jennings and Tennessee at this point.
There are rumors that Jennings could declare for the draft after this season, and that might indeed be the case now after the dismissal.
