Butch Jones revealed that Evan Berry is “100 percent” and will be Tennessee’s kick returner in its season opener against Appalachian State during his SEC Teleconference appearance Wednesday.

Berry led the FBS with a 38.29 kick return average while recording 804 yards and three touchdowns on 21 attempts in 2015. He was one of four players in College Football with three kickoff returns for touchdowns.

Jones also revealed that Tennessee sold out season tickets for the first time since 2011. The coach said the total was “a little under 73,000,” to which Senior Associate AD for Communications at UT Ryan Robinson confirmed was 72,700.

Jones also credited his program’s turnaround to signing top in-state talent.

The Vols signed eight of the top 10 players from the Volunteer State in 2014 — Jones’ first full season as Tennessee’s head coach — three of the top four in 2015 and two of the top five in 2016
