Former Tennessee DB Eric Berry’s visit to Atlanta Sunday is about much more than the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Atlanta Falcons.

It will be Berry’s first regular-season game in his hometown in his seven-year career and also the return to the city he received cancer treatments at Emory Hospital. As part of the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign, Berry will be wearing purple ribbon cleats, as seen on NFL.com:

The purple ribbon is used to represent the fight against Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Berry was diagnosed with the form of cancer on Dec. 8, 2014. Berry amazingly resumed football activities on July 28, 2015. He was selected to the Pro Bowl earned the Comeback Player of the Year award for 2015.
