Tennessee got National Signing Day started on the right foot by beating out a few SEC schools for one of the top safeties in the Class of 2016.

Four-star safety Nigel Warrior has committed to Tennessee. The 6-foot, 186-pound Warrior is rated as the No. 4 safety and No. 58 overall player in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

According to the service, the Suwanee, Ga., native is the ninth four-star prospect in the Vols’ class.

The U.S. Army All-American was deciding between four SEC schools with Alabama, LSU and Georgia also in consideration.
