The Matchup: Florida (2-1) at Tennessee (2-2)

The Venue: Neyland Stadium

The Kick: 12 p.m. ET

TV: SEC Network

Series record: Florida leads 24-19

Last meeting: Florida took a 31-17 win at home over Tennessee to open its SEC season. The Gators dominated with a 382-220 advantage in total yards and a 39:27-20:23 edge in time of possession.

Coaches: Will Muschamp (24-17), Butch Jones (57-36)

Last game (Florida): Florida suffered a 42-21 loss to No. 3 Alabama in Week 4. The Tide recorded 645 yards of total offense– the most allowed by a Gators defense in school history.

Last game (Tennessee): Tennessee fell 35-32 to No. 13 Georgia in Athens this past weekend. Todd Gurley saw a career day with 208 yards and two touchdowns.

Florida wins if: Florida must apply pressure to Justin Worley. Tennessee has an inexperienced offensive line and the senior quarterback has paid the price in his team’s last two games. The Gators pass rush needs to capitalize on this matchup and force Worley to rush throws in a collapsing pocket.

Tennessee wins if: Tennessee must contain Jeff Driskel. The redshirt junior has struggled in 2014 and is coming off a disappointing performance. However, he does have the mobility to expose a defense if the Vols are in the wrong scheme. Tennessee must force Driskel to make throws, rather than allow him to beat them with his mobility.

What it means if Florida wins: The Gators can salvage their season after a disappointing start. Head coach Will Muschamp will have his hot seat cool down– at least for the time being– after capturing a win against a rising SEC East opponent.

What it means if Tennessee wins:  Tennessee has lost every game in the annual matchup since 2004. Despite Florida’s struggles this season, a win would be monumental for Butch Jones in his rebuilding process based on the recent history of the program.
