Dual-threat quarterback Sheriron Jones committed to Tennessee on Thursday, according to 247Sports.com. Pete Duffy, Jones’ head coach at Rancho Verde, confirmed to the website that the four-star prospect verbally committed to Vols head coach Butch Jones over the phone.

The Moreno Valley, Calif., native ranks as the No. 191 overall player, No. 7 dual-threat QB and No. 26 player from California in the 2015 recruiting class. Jones has favored Tennessee since decommitting from Florida on Dec. 6.

The Vols now have three quarterback commitments, including No. 6 dual-threat QB Jauan Jennings and No. 13 pro-style passer Quinten Dormady, who are both early enrollees. With the addition of Jones, Tennessee now has 28 known commitments and ranks No. 3 overall for 2015.
