Tennessee announces big spring game attendance for coach Jeremy Pruitt's debut
Tennessee fans are excited for a new era in Knoxville, with Jeremy Pruitt taking over for Butch Jones as the Vols’ head coach.
On Saturday, Vol Nation got its first look at Pruitt’s squad, and fans showed up in force to take in the action.
According to the in-stadium announcement, the Vols had more than 65,000 fans in attendance for the spring game:

Alabama and Georgia’s official attendances have yet to be announced, but for now, Tennessee is atop the attendance leaderboard in the SEC:
Spring game attendance numbers so far:
Florida: 53,105
Texas A&M: 48,129
Kentucky: 36,090
Auburn: 28,033
South Carolina: 25,500

Nebraska had 86,000 fans at Scott Frost’s debut in Lincoln, but 65,000 is still a great turnout for a meaningless game. It’s clear Vol Nation is re-energized, and that’s a good sign for this fall.
