Vols running back John Kelly was the lone bright spot for Tennessee in its loss to Florida on Saturday.

He was spectacular, finishing with 141 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The talented playmaker also was a force catching passes, hauling in six catches for 96 yards.

According to Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo, Kelly finished with an outstanding 92.3 overall grade against Florida. He, and many others, believed Kelly greatly enhanced his draft stock with a memorable performance, which included breaking 15 tackles.

Kelly has been elusive all season with 20 broken tackles as a runner and eight as a receiver. His career missed tackles forced adds up to an astounding 42.

He had 630 yards and 5 touchdowns during 11 games in the 2016 season. In 2017, he has as many touchdowns in only three games.

These attributes and stats have NFL scouts salivating about the possibility of Kelly having a successful career at the pro level.
