Tennessee notched its best win of the season last week when it beat Auburn. And the Vols are also gaining some national support.

During an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show,” on Friday, former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow praised Tennessee and first-year coach Jeremy Pruitt, stating that he believes the Vols are beginning to turn the program around.

“I think Jeremy Pruitt will get it done,” Tebow told Finebaum. “They’ve been turning in the right direction and they have been slowly getting there, and last week’s win vs. Auburn was a huge step.”

Tennessee’s win over Auburn was its first conference victory of the season. The Vols are 3-3, with all three of their losses coming against teams that are currently ranked.

Although Tebow believes Tennessee is on the right track, the Vols have a big challenge this Saturday, when they host No. 1 Alabama. Pruitt was the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator from 2016-17 and he played at Alabama from 1995-96.

The Vols and Crimson Tide are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
