For you recruiting junkies out there, if you don’t know the name Emory Jones by now, you will soon. The 6-foot-1, 193-pound Jones is considered amongst the top dual-threat quarterback prospects in the nation for the 2018 recruiting cycle and already has several offers from nationally elite programs.

After attending Tennessee’s Orange & White game in April, Jones was all set to give the Vols his commitment over Clemson but then his “dream school” came in and offered him a scholarship. Now Ohio State has the ear of the Franklin, Ga., prospect.

According to Chad Simmons of Scout, Jones even had the date picked out for his commitment to Tennessee, which just so happened to be one day after the Buckeyes offered him a scholarship.

While Jones has not ruled out a commitment to Tennessee in the future, solely by offering him a scholarship Ohio State has become the favorite to land the talented dual-threat quarterback. Jones admitted his favorite quarterback growing up was Braxton Miller and the Buckeye offer was a game-changer.

The Vols’ recruitment of quarterbacks has taken a wild ride of late, following the commitment then decommitment of top rated 2017 quarterback Hunter Johnson and now likely to lose Jones to Ohio State, Tennessee still has hopes of landing 2018’s top overall prospect in quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The recruiting drama that’s going to happen between now and the next National Signing Day is unfathomable, there’s no telling what could happen when trying to forecast to two signing days away.

Either way, you can see why Ohio State, Tennessee and Clemson are all lining up to land Jones:
