Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett is one of the most-feared pass rushers in the SEC.

That was apparent in the Vols’ win against Kentucky on Saturday, as Barnett had three offensive linemen locked onto him when Wildcats quarterback Stephen Johnson dropped back to pass. The extra attention given to Barnett allowed Corey Vereen to get into the backfield and drop Johnson.

SEC linemen aren’t usually so easily beaten, but in this case, Kentucky didn’t believe that even two would be enough to slow down Barnett. The junior defender has 10 sacks this season and a pair of forced fumbles.
