In what many are calling the most talented and deepest crop of in-state prospects from the Volunteer State possibly ever, Tennessee has found a way to close on yet another top in-state recruit. This time, it’s Farragut tight end Jacob Warren pledging to join Tennessee’s 2018 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-6, 211-pound Warren is currently ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 32 tight end in the nation and the No. 26 overall prospect from the state of Tennessee according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Warren chose the Vols over scholarship offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, and Oregon among others.

Warren used a video to announce his commitment to Tennessee. Check it out here:

With Warren joining the Tennessee class, the Vols now have 11 total prospects committed to the 2018 recruiting class. The class ranks No. 8 in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC behind only LSU. Seven of the Vols’ 11 commits hail from the state of Tennessee.

Here’s Warren’s junior season highlight reel. Considering his huge frame and leaping ability, it’s easy to see him becoming an instant red zone threat for the Vols in the near future.

Following the news of Warren’s commitment, Cade Mays, Tennessee’s five-star member of the 2018 recruiting class, welcomed the new commit by tweeting out this picture of the two of them with fellow in-state Tennessee commit offensive, Ollie Lane.
