WATCH: Former Tennessee LB A.J. Johnson speaks to media after first NFL practice
After being found not guilty of rape charges recently, former Tennessee LB A.J. Johnson now has a chance to play in the NFL, as the Denver Broncos signed him on Monday.
Johnson was already on the field on Monday afternoon, going through drills with his new team.
As you can see in the video below, Johnson said he was thankful for the opportunity to pursue his NFL dream:

“I’m glad to be here today, for real — real glad,” he said. “I’m blessed and I’m glad to be out here. I haven’t had this many cameras in my face for a long time.”
Johnson recorded 424 tackles in four years at Tennessee, 30.5 of which were for a loss. He also had three sacks and an interception. He’s an NFL-caliber player, but after three years without football, it’ll be interesting to see how he fares this preseason.
