One of the best defensive backs in recent Tennessee history is back roaming the sidelines on Rocky Top following the offseason hiring of cornerbacks coach Terry Fair.

Following his outstanding four-year playing career, which dates back to 1994-1997, Fair went on to play in the NFL from 1998 to 2005. When his playing days were done, he started his coaching career and even had a stint working as an off-the-field coach for Butch Jones. Now Fair is back in Knoxville after being hired by Jeremy Pruitt and eager to restore Tennessee back to relevance in the SEC.

In the latest edition of Tennessee’s “Field Level” video series, Fair is featured sharing his message to his cornerbacks in Knoxville.

“You have to be tough. You have to coach them tough. You gotta love them tough,” Fair says in the video below… Every day you get a chance to influence, you get a chance to mentor, chance to teach and hopefully you can make a difference and be an impact in a young man’s life.”
