The No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers ran into a buzzsaw Saturday night against No. 5 Kentucky.

The Vols were hammered 86-69 in front of a wild Rupp Area. Kentucky entered the game having lost to LSU earlier this week, but it was solely focussed on dominating UT. And it started early with PJ Washington.

Jordan Bone led the Vols in scoring with 19, and Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield added 16 and 17 respectively. But nobody could stop Washington and the front line of Kentucky.

There was little doubt that the younger Wildcats were the most physically superior team Saturday night — something Tennessee prides itself in.
