Nearing the end of the 2015 cycle, Ole Miss will again sign several players who will make an instant impact in the SEC West as the Rebels try and sustain success.

Here’s a review of Vanderbilt’s strengths heading into bowl week after the holiday and a few predictions on where the Commodores could end up in February. We use 247Sports’ team rankings and individual composite player lists to determine grades:

Current standing

  • National recruiting rank: 52nd
  • SEC recruiting rank: 13th
  • Number of commits or signees: 14

Signed, sealed, delivered

  • None

Notable hard commits

  • Donovan Sheffield, CB, Nashville (Four-star)
  • Josh Smith, LB, Murfreesboro, Tenn. (Four-star)
  • Dare Odeyingbo, LB, Irving, Texas (Three-star)

Remaining primary targets

  • Marvell Tell, S, Encino, Ca. (Four-star)
  • Frank Buncom IV, CB, San Diego, Ca. (Four-star)

Signing Day surprise

  • Vanderbilt needs to secure its top commits in this year’s class, Sheffield and Smith, two potential starters as true freshmen on Derek Mason’s defense. If that happens, there’s a chance the Commodores can coax Marvell Tell, a four-star safety from California, to Nashville as well.
