Report: Jerry Stackhouse hires associate head coach for his Vanderbilt staff
The Vanderbilt Commodores recently hired former NBA player and Memphis Grizzlies assistant Jerry Stackhouse to replace Bryce Drew as their head coach.
Now, he’s trying to build his first staff as a head coach, and on Tuesday, he made a big hire.
According to college basketball insider Jeff Goodman, Stackhouse is hiring David Grace to be his associate head coach for the 2019-20 season and beyond:

Grace has been an assistant at five schools since 2006 — Sacramento State, San Francisco, Oregon State, UCLA and Cal. This will be his first gig east of the Mississippi (and not by the Pacific Ocean).
This is a big hire for Stackhouse, who gains some experience with Grace that he’ll need in year one as a head coach.
