Vanderbilt fans disgruntled after loss to Georgia Tech, call for Derek Mason to be fired
Derek Mason’s seat appears to be heating up.
After Georgia Tech dismantled Vanderbilt 38-7 on Saturday, many on Twitter demanded the Commodores coach to be fired. Vanderbilt (1-2) gave up 511 yards to the Yellow Jackets’ triple-option attack while gaining only 275 yards itself.
A win against Middle Tennessee State last weekend gave the Commodores some relief after their season-opening loss to South Carolina, but things look to be heading south in Nashville yet again. Mason is 8-19 with a 2-15 SEC record in three years since replacing highly successful coach James Franklin.
Here’s what fans had to say about the Vanderbilt coach:
If Derek Mason isn't fired THIS WEEK then David Williams needs to be fired THIS WEEK.
