Vanderbilt picked up its sixth commitment of the month Thursday for the class of 2018.

McDonough, Georgia, native Tre Douglas pulled the trigger for the Commodores. The talented CB is rated a 3-star prospect, the No. 34 overall CB and the state of Georgia’s No. 37 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Douglas became the Commodores’ 10th commitment in the class of 2018, the third highest-ranked prospect in the class, and he boasted an impressive offer list. Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida, among others, all offered Douglas.

The first thing that jumps out about Douglas is his size. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, defensive coaches covet taller, longer cornerbacks to cover bigger receivers. Douglas is certainly that, and it’s a huge win for Derek Mason and his coaching staff.
