Vanderbilt names captains for the rest of the season
Off to a 1-2 start, Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason is hoping that identifying permanent captains will give the Commodores the boost they need. Mason said Tuesday that RB Ralph Webb and S Ryan White will be the team’s captains for the rest of the season.
Mason said that Webb and Ryan White will serve as captains for the rest of the year. "They are the voices we need in the locker room."

Webb currently leads all SEC ball-carriers with 377 yards on the ground coming on 67 carries, an average of 5.6 yards per carry. White has recorded 18 total tackles in three games along with a pass breakup.
Vanderbilt faces Western Kentucky on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
