John L. Smith announced today that quarterback Tyler Wilson is cleared to play against Rutgers this weekend.

“Good news this afternoon: Tyler is cleared to go,” Smith said. “That’s very exciting, and we are thankful that he is. Our football team is excited about that. Now we need to go to the field and be accountable and execute.”

Wilson had been out since suffering what some have called a severe concussion against Louisiana-Monroe.

Arkansas has been outscored 79-10 without Wilson on the field, including last week’s hammering from Alabama 52-0.

Wilson has thrown for 563 yards and five touchdowns in his limited time on the field this season. The Hogs are hosting a 3-0 Rutgers team that is hungry for a victory.

His return will hopefully spark Arkansas to get excited about football again and to SMILE!
