The SEC turns the page from one of the best weekends of football you’ll witness all year, and it welcomes two conference showdowns between Auburn-LSU and Tennessee-Florida.

Kevin and I are all knotted up after last week, and we’re both 18-12 ATS and 28-5 overall. He must be copying me.

On to week four…

Vanderbilt (-31.5) at Massachusetts

Jon: Vanderbilt has some built up aggression after the 1-2 start, and they are going to make a statement to their coaches and players. Vandy wins big but doesn’t cover. Vanderbilt 38, Massachusetts 7

Kevin: Vanderbilt wins big and covers. Vandy 49, UMass 10

North Texas at #9 Georgia (-32.5)

Jon: This is going to be a sneaky test for UGA’s defense, because North Texas can move the football. But coming off the bye week, I look for an improved defense. Dawgs win but don’t cover. Georgia 48, North Texas 16

Kevin: Georgia will dominate North Texas, and Aaron Murray will have a fantastic game. UGA 51, North Texas 13

Tennessee at #19 Florida (-17)

Jon: This spread is huge, and is Florida really a 17-point favorite over the Vols? I like Florida, but not by 17. Gators 26, Tennessee 13

Kevin: I’m feeling good about the Gators this week. They will beat the Vols and cover the 17-point spread. Florida 29, Tennessee 10

SMU at #10 Texas A&M (-28.5)

Jon: The battle of the offensive minds – Kevin Sumlin and June Jones will put on an offensive show, and the Aggies will throttle the Mustangs. Texas A&M 54, SMU 24

Kevin: I’m not high at all on the Aggies’ defense, and SMU covers. Texas A&M 58, SMU 34

Colorado State at #1 Alabama (-39.5)

Jon: The biggest mismatch of the entire week, Alabama wins but Nick Saban will take his foot off the gas against his former OC Jim McElwain. Alabama, 44, Colorado State 10

Kevin: Alabama wins but won’t cover. Bama 38, Colorado State 7

Troy at Mississippi State (-14.5)

Jon: This is a big spread against such a potent offensive attack. MSU wins their second game of the year, but Troy covers. Mississippi State 34, Troy 23

Kevin: 14.5 is too much, but I like MSU to bounce back against a decent Troy team. Mississippi State 34, Troy 20

Auburn at #6 LSU (-17.5)

Jon: This could be one of the most underrated games of the season, but this will be Zach Mettenberger’s coming out party where he shows his progression from last season. Tigers win and cover. LSU 35, Auburn 17

Kevin: It’s supposed to rain; so, that will benefit Auburn. LSU wins but doesn’t cover. LSU 28, Auburn 14

Missouri (-3) at Indiana

Jon: Missouri is a different team than last year, and granted, it’s not the same Indiana as past years, but Mizzou will get a big road win before Arkansas State. Missouri 34, Indiana 28

Kevin: Missouri gets it done on the road and covers. Mizzou 44, Indiana 40

Arkansas at Rutgers (-1)

Jon: With Brandon Allen unlikely to play, can Arkansas continue to move it on the ground attempting only 11 passes with AJ Derby? Rutgers is much better than the first three opponents, and because Allen is likely to miss the game, the Hogs could lose. Rutgers 24, Arkansas 20

Kevin: I’m bullish on the Hogs. They remind me of the Gators in 2012. Arkansas goes on the road and gets it done. Arkansas 28, Rutgers 27
