Tennessee running back says he’s leaving the program
Tennessee reserve running back Alden Hill posted on Instagram that he’s leaving the program. Hill posted the following message, along with the photo:
“As of today I am I’m sad to say I am no longer a Tennessee Vol. I have decided to move on for my best interest and find a new home. I have loved Tennessee and the entire Big Orange family. I thank the coaches and the fans for my time here and will always remember my time spent at Tennessee, my first true love.”
Hill rushed for 58 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown in 2013.
With the return of Marlin Lane and the emergence of early enrollee Jalen Hurd, Hill would likely get lost in a crowded backfield this season. Running back signees Treyvon Paulk and Derrell Scott and returners Deanthonie Summerhill and Devrin Young will also be fighting for playing time this fall.
