The 2023 NBA Draft lottery has come and gone. The presumptive No. 1 overall pick, Victor Wembanyama, is not a heavy favorite to go No. 1 overall to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs beat out the Hornets, Rockets and Trail Blazers in the lottery.

No. 1 seems to be a no-brainer. After that, it gets a little murkier.

Former Alabama star Brandon Miller is one of 2, perhaps 3 players in contention for that No. 2 spot, which currently belongs to the Charlotte Hornets. Scoot Henderson and Amen Thompson could be picks for the No. 2 spot as well.

Alabama fans, as well as many who watched college basketball last season, would champion Miller as that No. 2 pick. According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, NBA teams are as high on Miller as ever and said he has no red flags.

The Hornets, as well as other teams in the top 5, have no doubt monitored Miller’s recent controversy at Alabama closely. Very few are doubting his abilities on the basketball court, after all.

And this feedback is promising for his chances to go No. 2 overall. We’ll know Miller’s NBA destination soon enough, as the 2023 Draft is set for Thursday, June 22.
