Alabama will get off to an early start on Saturday when the Crimson Tide play host to The Citadel.

The school announced that the game would kickoff at 11 a.m. local time and be broadcast on the SEC Network.

While the Crimson Tide will likely rest key plays at least for part of the game in preparation for the Iron Bowl and SEC Championship Game, they will face a team coming off a big win.

The Citadel, which trailed by 21 points in the first half, came back and took a 42-27 homecoming victory over Samford before a season-best crowd of 11,145 fans. It was The Citadel’s first win at home since Oct. 28, 2017.

“We want Bama!” delirious cadets chanted in the final minutes, the Post and Courier reported.

The newspaper suggested that Citadel fans should savor the last two weeks, when their team has outscored Samford and Western Carolina by 63-3 in the second half of come-from-behind victories.
