Ross Pierschbacher’s move to center has been a huge success — not only for Alabama, but for the redshirt senior, too.

Pierschbacher is one of three finalists for the 2018 Rimington Trophy, which recognizes the most outstanding center in college football, it was announced Monday. The Crimson Tide standout joined North Carolina State’s Garrett Bradbury and Notre Dame’s Sam Mustipher as contenders for the annual award.

Pierschbacher registered 42 starts at left guard for Alabama before switching to center this season. He has been a key part of the Crimson Tide’s offensive explosion in 2018, helping pave the way for the nation’s second-best scoring offense at 47.9 points per game.

The Rimington Trophy winner will be revealed Thursday before the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
