Alabama DB Shyheim Carter is having a great season, recording 17 tackles so far and returning both of his interceptions for touchdowns.

However, since the Ole Miss game, Carter has been playing with a heavily wrapped hand after suffering an injury when he banged his hand against another player’s helmet.

On Tuesday, Carter admitted it is hard for him to play press coverage with the wrapped hand, but wouldn’t say much more about the injury (per AL.com):

“It is hard to do press coverage with the club,” Carter said. “My hand, it’s doing all right. It’s good. I can’t really say anything.”

Carter has been one of the standouts in Alabama’s rebuilt secondary, so it’s clear the injury isn’t affecting him too much.

He even has a pick-six with the injury, so we’ll see how he continues to handle the situation as the year progresses.
