If you follow SEC football, you know Alabama DB Tony Brown is one of the fastest players in the conference.

Brown is also a star on the Alabama track team, where he’s qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100-meter dash.

According to 247Sports, Brown will compete in the same event from June 22-25 in Sacramento for a spot on the U.S. national track team. The event is part of the U.S. Track & Field Outdoor Championships and the top-three finishers in each event will get to compete at the International Association of Athletics Federations World Championships in London, England, from Aug. 4 to Aug. 13.

Heading into his senior season with the Crimson Tide, qualifying for the event in London would cause Brown to miss some time at football practice.

However, if he can qualify to represent the U.S. in an international competition, it may be worth it to miss some of the summer practices in Tuscaloosa.
