Alabama DL Quinnen Williams named Bednarik Player of the Week
Quinnen Williams added another feather to his cap in what has been a breakout season for the sophomore defensive lineman.
On Tuesday, Williams earned recognition as the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week for his efforts in Alabama’s 39-10 win against Missouri last Saturday. He was second on the team with seven total tackles but forced a safety with a sack, compiled two tackles for loss and recorded two quarterback hurries.
With all of the attention the offense has been generating in Tuscaloosa, is anyone taking notice of No. 92 this fall? @AlabamaFTBL held the Mizzou offense to just 10 points, as @QuinnenD1 provided his usual heat with 7 stops, 2 tackles for loss, a sack, and 2 pressures. pic.twitter.com/rlQzI3OxyQ

Williams was integral in Alabama holding Missouri to just 212 total yards as the Crimson Tide continued its undefeated season.
Despite being just a redshirt sophomore, Williams is tied for the team lead with eight quarterback hurries and second with 7.5 tackles for loss. Now he has also gotten the attention of those who recognize the nation’s best defensive player at the end of each season.
