On Wednesday, ESPN came out with a list ranking the Top 50 CFB players from the 2016 season slated to feature in bowl games.

Ten writers from the site graded players from each and every conference. It was done on a scale from 1-to-10 — with 10 being the best performance possible in the postseason.

Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen registered as the No. 1 player in the country. His versatility up front is simply superb — as is his ability to make plays.

Linebacker Reuben Foster comes in as the nation’s No. 6 player. The leader of Alabama’s fierce defense, Foster looks like a heat-seeking missile desperately searching for the next skill player to obliterate into space.

Lastly, DB Minkah Fitzpatrick is listed at No. 10. The sophomore safety out of New Jersey is an exceptional athlete. He’s got a true nose for the ball — as evidenced by a team-high five interceptions. Two of those were also returned for touchdowns.

Linebacker Tim Williams (21) and offensive tackle Cam Robinson (22) also feature within the Top 50.

Based upon this ranking system, 30 percent of the Top 10 players in the country hail from Alabama. In addition, 20-percent of the nation’s Top 25 also play in Tuscaloosa.

That is outrageous.
