Alabama drawing concern across social media tied at halftime vs. Texas
Alabama is locked in a tight one with Texas in Austin at halftime, as the 2 teams are tied at 10.
Nick Saban is going up against Steve Sarkisian, his offensive coordinator for 2 years before his departure to helm the Longhorns program. A defeat of the No. 1 team in the country after a 6-7 record in 2021 would be the signature win Texas fans have been waiting for.
Meanwhile, for the Crimson Tide, an early season loss may not erase their College Football Playoff hopes, but the margin of error will be razor-thin the rest of the way. It would be the earliest loss of the Nick Saban era.
While the Crimson Tide may have been projected to have an easier time on Saturday, there’s still a half of football remaining. But the 1st half hasn’t been close to their standards , and if not for a bad snap on a 20-yard Texas field goal attempt, Alabama would have been down at the break.
Here’s some of the reaction across social media to the score after 30 minutes of play:
Is Alabama in trouble?

That Alabama locker room is not going to be a pleasant place to be at halftime.

Something tells me that won’t be a very enjoyable experience in the Alabama locker room at halftime

Alabama’s OL, WR and DB groups look like their worst in several years. They have the QB and some good talent elsewhere, but hard to see them in the championship this season.

Just a little surprised watching the Alabama vs Texas game. Texas defense doing a great job containing Alabama’s offense.

Alabama is beating themselves

Did our defense stay in Alabama???

I’d be terrified if I was an Alabama player. Nick saban might stroke out in the locker room from the penalties alone. Probably running gassers on the field after the game

Alabama is very lucky to be tied at halftime there. Sloppy execution, WRs not able to get separation and penalty after penalty. Saban has a lot to correct during halftime.
