An Alabama fan who shared his reaction to the Jermaine Burton incident after the Tennessee game last week has lost his job, according to a report from Outkick and a tweet from the company.

The fan, after a video surfaced of Burton allegedly striking a woman on the field as Tennessee fans stormed the field at Neyland Stadium, tweeted, “I am glad he did it. Should have knocked her head off. Not supposed to be on the field anyway.”

The fan apparently worked for Kele, a worldwide distributor for 400+ manufacturers, including HVAC/R products and build automation solutions, and the company put out a statement following the incident.

“Kele does not stand for or tolerate offensive or hateful comments toward any group or individual. We take this issue very seriously, and as a result, Kele and this employee have parted ways.”

Nick Saban on Wednesday also put out a statement about the incident.

“We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday,” Saban said. “We are currently working to gather more information.”
