ORLANDO — It’s not surprising that Alabama and Georgia are well represented at the national high school all-star games. Alabama has six players in the Under Armour All-America Game, which will be played at 6 p.m. Thursday at Camping World Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

The Crimson Tide’s contingent includes five early signees (4-star linebacker Quay Walker did not sign early) including 5-star defensive end Eyabi Anoma, who will join fellow defensive line commits Jordan Davis and Stephon Wynn in the game.

Georgia has four signees participating in the Under Armour All-America Game and all eyes will be on 5-star quarterback Justin Fields, who is rated by ESPN.com as the top player in the nation.

And for those wondering, Fields and Anoma are on different teams so we will all see if Fields can avoid the pass rushing skills of Anoma.

Under Armour targets considering Alabama and/or Georgia

Tommy Bush, WR, Schertz, Texas (Samuel Clemens HS), (4-star, No. 37 WR): Bush took an official visit to Georgia on Dec. 15, right before the Early Signing Period. He has also taken officials to Michigan State and Nebraska and will take his final two before making a decision on national signing day.

Jacob Copeland, WR, Pensacola, Fla. (Escambia HS), (4-star, No. 9 WR): Copeland was committed to Florida and the Gators are a good bet to get him back, but Alabama and Texas A&M have come on strong. Copeland will visit TAMU on Jan. 20, Alabama on Jan. 26 and Florida on Feb. 2 in preparations for a signing day decision.

Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Tampa, Ala. (Berkeley Prep), (5-star, No. 3 OT): Alabama is under consideration for Petit-Frere although he hasn’t scheduled an official visit. Petit-Frere has three officials remaining and roughly a dozen programs trying to get one of them.

Justyn Ross, WR, Phenix City, Ala. (Central HS), (4-star, No. 10 WR): Ross is down to Alabama, Auburn and Clemson. He took a visit to Clemson in November and will visit the programs in his home state on Jan. 19 (Alabama) and Jan. 26 (Auburn), respectively.

Tyreke Smith, DE, Cleveland (Cleveland Heights HS), (4-star, No. 4 WDE): Smith will make his announcement during the game Thursday. He took an official visit to Alabama on Oct. 14 and the Crimson Tide are in his final group, but Ohio State appears to be the team to beat.

Justin Watkins, WR, Clermont, Fla. (East Ridge HS), (4-star, No. 21 WR): Watkins’ recruiting has including several commits and decommitments while he’s played at three high schools. Alabama got an official visit on Dec. 1.
