The University of Alabama landed a big commitment from the state’s No. 3 prospect Friday, according to AL.com.

Four-star CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (Mobile, Alabama) committed to the Crimson Tide over Auburn and Florida State, among others. Armour-Davis is rated as the nation’s No. 15 CB and No. 121 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

While Alabama’s recruiting class has gotten off to a slow start, we don’t expect that to last too long, as the Tide usually sign the No. 1 class and should finish strong. Armour-Davis became Alabama’s first CB commit for the recruiting cycle.

Listed at 6-foot, 160 pounds, Armour-Davis has the size that Nick Saban and Jeremy Pruitt love at corner, and he has speed to burn. Armour-Davis won the state championship in the 100-meter dash and triple jump.

“He committed to the premier program in the country,” St. Paul’s head coach Steve Mask told AL.com. “They are who they are. We are excited for him and the opportunity he has in front of him.”
