Alabama sees analyst leave for NFL, promotes grad assistant
Alabama’s support staff is undergoing some changes.
Mike Reiss of ESPN reports that Will Lawing is following Bill O’Brien to New England after 2 seasons as an analyst at Alabama. Lawing, 37, has worked alongside O’Brien every season since 2013 at Penn State.
Coaching chatter: The Patriots are adding Will Lawing to their offensive staff.
Lawing, 37, has a longtime connection with new Patriots OC Bill O’Brien — at Penn State (2013), the Texans (2014-2020) and Alabama (2021-2022).

In other Alabama analyst news, Crimson Tide beat reporters noticed that Ryan Finck’s online bio shows he has been promoted to “Football Analyst.” He was on Alabama’s staff as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line.
Alabama has added Ryan Finck to its football staff as an analyst. He spent last season as a graduate assistant working with the offensive line. He played at Heidelberg University in Ohio and previously was a GA at Kentucky, Wyoming and Ohio U.
