Alabama WR Calvin Ridley wants to race The Freeze, but only under one condition
The Atlanta Braves moved into a new stadium this year, but that’s not the most exciting thing surrounding the team.
No, that honor belongs to “The Freeze,” a Braves’ groundskeeper named Nigel Talton who was a great sprinter in college. The Freeze challenges a Braves fan to a race, which spans from foul line to foul line, giving the fan a sizable head start.
Sometimes, the races have hilarious results, as you can see below:

Now, speedy Alabama WR Calvin Ridley wants a chance to square off against Talton, but added that he expects a head start like everyone else:
I'm getting the head start

Ridley was clocked at 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash this spring, but a race against The Freeze would be much longer.
Ridley likely wouldn’t get the same head start as everyone else, but he could still make things interesting. Now it’s on the Braves to make the race happen.
